Titanium on the Courts?
Meet Dr. Kling of Aireo Sports
Welcome to Palm Beach County Pickleball News! I’m Bob Savar, here at the World Pickleball Conference in West Palm Beach with Dr. Kling from Aireo Sports. Dr. Kling combines his passion for pickleball with 20 years of research expertise to create innovative paddles, including the groundbreaking Titan Hawk with a titanium surface. Let’s dive into his journey and learn more!
I had the opportunity to hit with one of Aireo's flagship paddles, the Titan Hawk-L14 Gen 3 Titanium Pickleball Paddle, and it truly offers a distinct hitting experience. The paddle strikes a perfect balance between softness and responsiveness, enabling precise control for softer shots while delivering impressive power for aggressive attacks.

The Last Pickleball Bag You Will Need to Buy:
OKTO™ Pickleball Bag
At the World Pickleball Conference in West Palm Beach, I connected with Melanie Romero from OKTO™ Bag and got a firsthand look at her brilliantly designed OKTO Bag. As both a player and instructor, I’m always on the hunt for gear that’s as practical as it is purposeful—and this one checks all the boxes: paddle slots, magnetic quick-access pockets, a ball chamber, ventilated shoe compartment, and even an insulated cooler. Melanie built it for players who want to feel prepped and focused the moment they step on court. If you’re looking to streamline your gear and elevate your routine, this might be your next favorite piece of equipment.

BEGINNER’S CORNER
Find Your Ready Position: The Posture That Keeps You in Every Point
When I teach beginners, one of the first habits I try to build is a strong ready position—because without it, everything else tends to fall apart. Whether you're serving, returning, or mid-rally, the way you position your body between shots affects your reaction time, balance, and shot quality.
Want to stay in more points and make fewer mistakes? Start with the one habit every beginner overlooks—your ready position.

I Used to Think Power Won Points—Now I Know This Matters More

Here’s what I used to believe…
When I first got serious about playing and teaching pickleball, I was utterly convinced raw power was the holy grail. Hit it harder. Drive the ball. Smash overheads. Outmuscle your opponent. That was the mindset I brought over from other racket sports—and I saw it in almost every beginner I taught. More force meant more success… right? Then I realized this instead…
